This was our first Transatlantic cruise with Celebrity Line to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We had a Consierge Class Balcony Cabin with all the little extras included which made so much difference, and was well worth the extra supplement.
On board activities were first class, with varied guest lecturers and demonstrators of the highest quality. We were many days at sea, but there was a full programme of events each day and there was no time to be bored.
The main dining room was elegant with superb food. Equally good was the Aqua Spa Cafe which provided excellent light and healthy cuisine at lunchtime and breakfast. While a meal in the Olympic Speciality Restaurant was a fabulous experience, dishes being prepared tableside with care and expertise to the accompaniment of harp music was truly a dining experience never to be forgotten.
The shows in the state of the art Celebrity Theatre were of an excellent standard and worthy of West End Status. The ambience of the ship was elegant and well suited the clientelle who were in the majority aged 55+.
The Grand Foyer Atrium with its onyx staircase was a sight to behold and reflected the elegance of the ship, rather the glitzy approach on some other cruise ships.
We have already booked our next Celebrity Cruise!
