My wife and I recently completed a cruise with Celebrity Infinity to Alaska. Actual cruise and places visited were great and as a bonus the weather was ideal particularly at Glacier Bay, wonderful day and views of Hubbard Glacier. However, I have to say that after the blurb one reads on Celebrity advertising, brochures etc. I feel a little let down with the quality of the Trellis restaurant food and the cleanlyness of the cabin. Evey evening on the second sitting the menue's one read sounded wonderful with lots of starters entrees and sweets etc. all with the most exotic names! Unfotunately very often the food one got on the plate was dreadful, somtimes to the point of being uneatable. Occaisonally we got a reasonabl dish which one enjoyed but that was the exception. On the cruise information we read prior to the trip we were told that we would recieve the finest dinning on the high sea's, five star quality etc. Actually the food was little better that a second rate restaurant in any high street. As to the Cabin. we had a balcony cabin in the Sky Deck. on the face of it it was reasoanbly clean, though on first seeing it when we joined the ship at Vancouver, the bathroom was not what one would expect with traces of the previous occupier still evident. A week into the voyage and my wife lost a piece of jewelry in the cabin so I dilligently searched the entire cabin space which meant shifting such things as settees, bedside cabinets etc. The spaces occupied by these furnishings looked as though they had not been cleaned since the ship was launched. Totally filthy with all kinds of dust and trash. Hardly Five Star !!! Come on Celebrity Cruises live up to your bunf and advertising. Your Head House Keeper needs to start earning her pay so does the head Chef.

We had exactly the same experience in May this year we felt so dissapointed that we will not be travelling with Celebrity again - our best cruise so far has been on the Sea Princesss the food was superb.
