We travelled on Celebrity Galaxy, May 2008. Eastern Mediterranean cruise. This was the largest ship we have used, and frankly it was a bit big for our taste. The service and formal dining was superb, but the alternative dining for the evening was not satisfactory, being formal apart from dress) and not buffet, the menu was limited.
The cabin was spacious, clean, comfortable and well looked after. The evening entertainment was again, not to our taste, we tried one evening and quite simply could not stay as the volume of the music was painful ( and I have slight hearing problems) We used the cinema instead which was satisfactory.
The rest of the facilities were good, and there was no problem with queuing.
Don't choose this ship if you want informative talks or any information other than shopping. The Information Centre just didn't know, unless you wanted one of their tours, most of which seemed to be expensive.
Television in the cabin was O.K. could have had more selection.
So, if you want good food and a good itinerary then this is for you. Spas shops, acupuncture, massage etc were all available, at a cost. But not for those of us who enjoy a more intimate voyage and interesting informative talks about the ports of call and visits.

| Waiter in the formal dining room. He made sure we had exactly what we wanted, tempted us with trial dishes and generally made the experience a pleasure. The wine waiter knew his cellar and chose good wines to our taste. | | Children's Facilities | n/a |
