We were over the moon for "Connie" and her brilliant crew, staff and entertainment staff when we read about her No 1 spot. We went on our first ever cruise in 2006 for my 60th birthday, to the Baltic and St. Petersberg, and being "novices", were'nt prepared for the delights of cruising which we were about to experience. From the flawless embarkation with the emotional champagne reception and beautiful background music, all the waiters in pristine uniforms, the wonderful atrium, was to us just amazing.I didn't know what to expect when entering the cabin, but what a pleasant suprise when I saw the layout and the lovely fittings. At night we opened the balcony window and just listened to the sea whooshing by as it lulled us to sleep. The food was to die for,we had taken early sitting but would take the later one in future. The waiters were unbelievable and I realised that this is what a 5 star restaurant must be like. The entertainment was good and my wife adored Perry Grant, even though his show was repeated to a packed Michael's Club every night. I could go on and on about this wonderful experience but I will cut it short and raise a glass to "Connie" for introducing us and our two friends to the wonderful world of cruising
