Great ship with lovely crew... Take some Euros for the main ports they will accept them readily although you may get small change in local currency where it is not the Euro (but ask for change in Euros anyway and you will often get it) Use US Dollars in St Petersburg in prefernce to Euros. Yes the ship has a currency exchange section which is often very busy and you will get a better exchange rate in Marks and Spencer so take what you can from there.
